Warranty Policy & Repair Guide

Please provide VENUS with a date of purchase and an invoice number.

VENUS will not warranty any items that are returned for the following reasons:

– damage due to misuse, most commonly damage due to dropping
– damage due to product buildup or water damage
– damage due to improper maintenance (example, clogged filter)
– damage due to using wrong power supply
– damage due to cut or abused power cord/plug
– scratches or dents which occur during regular use
– any general abuse, modification or product tampering that would void the manufacturer warranty

** If an item is discontinued but comes back defective during the customer’s warranty period we will offer a credit for the original purchase price of the defective item with proof of purchase. This credit will be put towards a new item of equal or greater value.
VENUS will exchange a defective item more than once during the items warranty period upon approval from your manager.

AG Tools: AG Tools carry a warranty of 1 year AG offers a one year over the counter exchange for any AG Tool. VENUS will accept warranty claims for AG Tools for up to one year from the original purchase date.

Andis Tools: All Andis merchandise carries a warranty of 1 year. VENUS will only accept warranty claims for Andis merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. Any warranty claim after the 30 day period must be sent directly to Andis. VENUS does not accept any repairs for any Andis merchandise. Aria Beauty: All tools come with a 1 year exchange warranty but some tools have an optional free upgrade to either 3 years or limited lifetime warranty. The customer must register on www.ariabeauty.com within 30 days of purchase for any optional warranty upgrades. VENUS will handle all exchange warranties for the first year. Optional warranties are handled direct with Aria Beauty.

Belvedere: (hood dryers) Belvedere hood dryer warranties are as follows: 1 year warranty for all plastic & metal parts 5 year warranty for the motor 5 year warranty for the hood VENUS will only accept warranty claims for Belvedere merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. Any warranty claim after the 30 day period must be sent directly to Belvedere. VENUS does not accept any repairs for Belvedere merchandise. Bex: Bex offers a 1 year exchange warranty for all merchandise. VENUS will accept warranty claims for up to 1 year from the date of purchase.

CND: LED Lamps CND Nail Lamps are no longer available to Venus. We offer no warranty on CND Nail Lamps. VENUS does not accept any repairs for CND LED Lamps.

Dannyco: Dannyco offers a 1 year exchange warranty for all merchandise unless otherwise stated in the Dannyco Buying Guide. (this is retro-active to Jan 1 2014) MiraCurl has a 2 year warranty Brava & Rapido dryers have a 4 year warranty Trays & Trolleys have a 1 year warranty VENUS will only handle Miracurl, Brava and Rapido warranties for 1 year. After the 1st year expires, the customer must deal direct with Dannyco. VENUS will accept warranty claims for Dannyco merchandise up to 1 year from the purchase date. Refer to your Dannyco catalogue for specific warranties for each product. VENUS does not accept repairs for any Dannyco merchandise. Elchim: Elchim offers a one year exchange warranty for all merchandise. VENUS will accept warranty claims for any Elchim merchandise for up to 1 year from the original date of purchase.

Enzo Milano: Enzo Milano offers a one year exchange warranty for all merchandise with an option to upgrade to a Lifetime Warranty within 30 days of the purchase date. VENUS will accept warranty claims for any Enzo Milano merchandise for up to 1 year from the original date of purchase. Customers must fill out the Enzo Milano Lifetime Warranty registration card in full and submit this form directly to Enzo Milano in order to be eligible for the lifetime warranty program. The EM lifetime warranty program is handled exclusively through EM and will not be handled by VENUS Beauty Supplies Ltd.

EcoHeads: EcoHeads offer a warranty of 1 year. Before replacement please refer to the maintenance guide. Many times the head just requires cleaning.

Global: ( hood dryers ) **GLOBAL has closed all salon operations as of November 2016** 3 year warranty for dryer motor 1 year warranty for all other components VENUS will only accept warranty claims for Global merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. Any warranty claim after the 30 period must be sent directly to Global. VENUS does not accept any repairs for any Global merchandise. Hairart: Hairart offers a warranty of 1 year. Hairart offers a one year over the counter exchange for defective merchandise. VENUS will accept any warranty claims for Hairart merchandise up to one year from the original purchase date. Hot Tools: Hot Tools offers a warranty of 1 year. Hot Tools offers a one year over the counter exchange for defective merchandise. VENUS will accept warranty claims for Hot Tools merchandise up to one year from the purchase date. VENUS does not accept any repairs for Hot Tools merchandise. Moroccanoil Tools: Moroccanoil offers a warranty of 2 year on all appliances. Moroccanoil offers a 2 year over the counter exchange for defective items. VENUS will accept warranty claims for MO items for up to 2 years from the original purchase date. Venus does not accept any repairs for MO items. Defective MO items are to be exchanged with a MO item only, not any other competitive product.

NP: ( includes NP irons and parlux dryers ) NP merchandise carries a warranty of 1 year. VENUS no longer sells NP dryers but will honor the warranty for 30 days on the remaining inventory that we have. VENUS will only accept any warranty claims for NP merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. The customer must deal directly with NP for any warranty claims after the 30 day period.

ONE: VENUS no longer offers any warranty for all ONE products. All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges.

Oster: VENUS will only accept warranty claims for Oster merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. Any warranty claim after the 30 period must be sent directly to Oster. VENUS does not accept any repairs for any Oster merchandise. Oster offers a 1 year repair warranty on the following appliances: Classic 76, Model 10, Titan, Fast Feed, T-Finisher
J. Tarnow is the official warranty repair center for all Oster warranty repairs.

All customers must be responsible for arranging the shipping and return of any repair. VENUS will not ship or deliver any warranty repairs on our customers behalf. All other Oster clippers and trimmers have a 1 year replacement warranty. Please note that Oster blades are not covered under warranty.

SKP: Pro Tools SKP Pro Tools offer a warranty of 2 years. Mini Giant tools offer a warranty of 3 months. VENUS will handle all warranty claims for any SKP Pro Tools for a 2 year period and the Mini Giant for a 3 month period from the date of original purchase. VENUS does not accept any repairs for SKP merchandise. Defective SKP tools are to be exchanged with SKP tools only, not any other competitive product.

Tassimo: (brewing machines only) Tassimo discontinued by Kraft Canada late 2016. VENUS no longer offers any warranty for all Tassimo brewing machines.

Unite Tools: Unite offers a warranty of 1 year on all tools. VENUS will accept warranty claims for Unite tools for up to one year from the date of purchase.

USS: Universal Spa Solutions (LED Lamps) 1 Year warranty on parts only Defective LED lamps may be returned to VENUS for repair only. Defective items will be repaired by USS at no charge

Wahl Tools: Wahl offers a warranty of 1 year on all appliances. VENUS will only accept warranty claims for Wahl merchandise up to 30 days from the purchase date. Any warranty claim after the 30 day period must be sent directly to Wahl. VENUS does not accept any repairs for any Wahl merchandise. YS Park Tools
VENUS will accept warranty claims for YS Park tools up to 1 year from the original purchase date. YS Park tools are not covered for damages caused by:
-Use of chemicals on combs (combs should never be left in Barbicide overnight or for excessive time periods)
-Improper use of brushes with hairdryers (a distance of 2-3 cm should always be kept between the brush and dryer nozzle otherwise melting might occur)
-Improper cleaning of wooden brushes (use UV light only, do not use water)
-Improper cleaning of brush pins (use a tail comb, do not use a fine tooth comb)
-Sprayer is meant to be used with WATER ONLY
-Improper use of diffuser with hairdryers (a distance of 2-3cm should be kept between the dryer nozzle and diffuser to avoid mesh damage)

SCISSORS AND SCISSOR SHARPENING:
Scissors:

Dannyco: VENUS will accept warranty claims for Dannyco scissors up to 1 year from the original purchase date. Refer to your Dannyco catalogue for specific warranties on each product.

Kasho: All Kasho shears are guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the shear. Kasho offers one free sharpening service within one year of the date of purchase for the following shears: KDM KCB KSI and KIV. Kasho offers two free sharpening services within two years of the date of purchase for the following shears: KGR KZR KAD and KML. VENUS will handle any warranty claims for defective shears (excluding free sharpening) for one year from the date of purchase of the shear. VENUS will not handle any shears that are being sent in under warranty for free sharpening. Your client must incur the cost of shipping to Custom Edge. Make sure your client includes a copy of the invoice that indicates the date of purchase. Have your clients follow these steps to redeem the free sharpening service offered by Kasho: 1- Package shear(s) in a bubble wrap envelope that is well padded to protect the contents. VENUS has pre-marked padded envelopes available at n/c to our customers. Include a business card or contact information with a copy of the invoice that indicates date of purchase. 2- Enclose a cheque or money order for $10.75 + CND taxes per shear for shipping and handling to: Custom Edge. Your customer can also pay by Visa or MC. Custom Edge will call your customer for the card information upon the receipt of the scissors. Note: The $10.75 per shear ship fee is to cover the cost of Custom Edge to ship the sharpened shears back to your customer. The cost of shipping the shear to Custom Edge will be incurred by your customer at the time of mailing. 3- Address the envelope with the following information: Custom Edge Scissor Reconditioning Rick Nicolls 6-601 Boleskine Rd Victoria, B.C. Kiepe Scissors: Kiepe scissors carry a full 1 year warranty from the original date of purchase that protects you against manufacturer defect. Please be advised that the warranty does not cover scratches, faded coloring, and chips/notches in the blade due to dropping. This warranty is not a maintenance policy and therefore will not cover sharpness of the blades as time passes. In the event that there is a Manufacturers defect, please return your scissor with original receipt of purchase back to your distributor where the scissors were purchased.

 

Scissor Sharpening: VENUS does not accept any scissors for sharpening services. For Kasho scissor sharpening please have your client follow these steps: 1- Package shear(s) in a bubble wrap envelope that is well padded to protect the contents. VENUS has pre-marked padded envelopes available at n/c to our customers. Include a business card or contact information with the shear. 2- Enclose a cheque or money order for $29.95 per shear + $10.75 for shipping and handling to: Custom Edge. Your customer can also pay by Visa or MC. Custom Edge will call your customer for the card information upon the receipt of the scissors. Note: The $10.75 shipping fee is to cover the cost of Custom Edge to ship the sharpened shears back to your customer. The cost of shipping the shear to Custom Edge will be incurred by your customer at the time of mailing. 3- Address the envelope with the following information: Custom Edge Scissor Reconditioning Rick Nicolls 6-601 Boleskine Rd Victoria, B.C. V8Z-1C5 1 866 336 3344 * It is always advisable to insure the shipment. The cost is minimal and could potentially save your clients thousands of dollars if the shears become lost in the mail. * Having Kasho scissors sharpened by a non authorized sharpening facility will void the Kasho lifetime warranty. Consumer Purchase Warranty Policy VENUS will honor any warranty from a defective item sold to a consumer (salon customer) for the specified warranty period. The VENUS customer must provide a dated receipt for the purchase of the item. VENUS will offer the full warranty from the beginning of the consumer purchase date. Example: If Salon ABC purchased a dryer that had a 1 year warranty in Jan 2014 but actually sold the item to a consumer in March 2014 the warranty would be valid from March 2014 to March 2015. **If Salon ABC cannot produce or does not have a receipt for the consumer purchase then VENUS will use the original invoice from which it was purchased. Using Example Above: Salon ABC purchased a dryer that had a 1 year warranty in Jan 2014. The salon sold the dryer to the consumer in March 2014. The defective dryer was returned to the salon from the consumer June 2014. Salon ABC could not produce or find a receipt of sale to the consumer. VENUS uses the original invoice from which the dryer was purchased. The remaining warranty left on the dryer would be 6 months. Please see your sales manager for any warranty requests outside of the regular warranty period.
